Dubai Heart Safe City is a Dubai Health Authority initiative that equips residents and professionals with the knowledge and practical skills to respond to cardiac emergencies. Its goal is to help make Dubai a heart-safe city by training, certifying, and mobilizing community volunteers who can act when someone’s heart stops.

The program offers an online learning journey followed by hands-on practical skills training with a Dubai Health Authority-approved partner. Guided modules cover hands-only CPR, recognizing cardiac arrest, using an automated external defibrillator (AED), and responding safely in real-life emergencies, including calling 998 and coordinating with bystanders. Training also introduces relevant UAE legal protections for people who help in emergencies.

Participants are encouraged to become certified lifesavers and carry these skills into their homes, workplaces, and communities. The initiative presents learning as a practical, community-focused way to build confidence and readiness, turning ordinary citizens into potential lifesavers. Dubai Heart Safe City also provides online enrollment and certificate verification, with contact support and group booking inquiries available through its coordinator.
