Dubbo Aero Club is a community-based aviation club at Dubbo Regional Airport in Dubbo, New South Wales, Australia. Established in 1994 by local pilots, it was created as a social club for anyone interested in aviation, not only pilots. Its members include non-flyers, general aviation and recreational aviation pilots, aircraft owners, and people who hire aircraft. The club’s motto, “Youth in aviation is the future of our club, sport and industry,” reflects its interest in encouraging aviation across generations.
Dubbo Aero Club offers opportunities to meet other aviation enthusiasts and take part in flying-related activities. Members and visitors can attend a general gathering each Friday from 17:00, with meetings often continuing later, and a casual monthly barbecue and flying event on the second Sunday from noon. Families are welcome. The club has also hosted open days, air shows, inter-club flying competitions, and flyaways. Prospective members can obtain membership forms through the club.
