Dublin City Clinic is a Dublin-based medical clinic established by general practitioners to provide treatment for people experiencing haemorrhoids. The clinic is Ireland’s exclusive provider of eXroid® treatment, a non-surgical electrotherapy procedure used to shrink haemorrhoids. Patients can book an appointment online or contact the clinical team to discuss questions and arrange treatment. At the appointment, a doctor and/or nurse is present for the consultation, examination and procedure. Using an anoscope to identify haemorrhoids, the practitioner applies an electrotherapy instrument to each one for several minutes. The clinic explains that the treatment may be uncomfortable but is generally not painful. Its services also include follow-up support: the clinical team is available to patients, provides a follow-up call around six weeks after treatment, and can send treatment details to a patient’s GP if requested.
