Dublin Cycling Campaign is an independent, voluntary group dedicated to advocating for improved conditions for cyclists and raising awareness of the benefits of cycling. With a rich history spanning back to 1993, we have been instrumental in initiatives such as the establishment of the 30km/h speed limit in Dublin and the introduction of the Dublin Bikes program. As members of Cyclist. ie, the umbrella organization for cycling advocacy in Ireland, we are also involved in national and international issues related to cycling. We collaborate with European bodies such as the European Cyclists' Federation and participate in events like the annual Velo City conference to promote cycling as a sustainable mode of transportation.
Additionally, we conduct research, make submissions, and publish informative materials on various topics related to cycling. Beyond our advocacy efforts, we have a vibrant social calendar, organizing events such as the Bicycle Space at the Electric Picnic, the cyclists' participation in the St. Patrick's Day Parade, and the Bicycle Christmas Party.
