Duchenne Warriors

Duchenne Warriors Foundation is an organization dedicated to ending Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a fatal genetic disorder that progressively weakens muscle strength in children and loved ones. Recognizing that people affected face a race against time as muscle deterioration continues, the Foundation works to fight back through community engagement, awareness, and support. It connects families with resources to help them navigate the challenges of Duchenne and invites supporters to take part in events that raise awareness, support families, and mobilize participants.

A key annual initiative is Run Out Duchenne, a 5K event held at Highbanks Metro Park. The 7th annual run is scheduled for June 13, 2026, and the Foundation encourages participants to register and join its effort to #ENDDUCHENNE. Through its website, the organization also shares event information, family resources, updates through its newsletter, and information about Duchenne and the Foundation. Its social media channels and events provide ways for community members to stay connected and participate in the cause.
