About Duchman Winery
Duchman Family Winery, founded in 2004 by Drs. Lisa and Stan Duchman, is dedicated to bringing world-class winemaking to Central Texas and the Texas Hill Country. Inspired by their love for unique Italian grape varieties and the similar weather patterns to Texas, the Duchmans collaborate with growers in the Texas High Plains AVA to cultivate grapes for their winemaker, Dave Reilly, to experiment with making wines like Vermentino, Sangiovese, and Dolcetto.
The winery sources the majority of its fruit from the Texas High Plains AVA, known for its cooler temperatures and ideal conditions for producing fine wine from Italian grape varieties. Committed to their goal of producing food-friendly fine wine in Central Texas using Texas-grown fruit exclusively, Duchman Family Winery continuously develops innovative winemaking and grape growing techniques. Boasting picturesque grounds listed by HGTV as one of the top 20 in the country, visitors can enjoy tasting and purchasing the winery's current releases at the tasteful room, while also taking in the beautiful scenery.
