Ronald McDonald House Czech Republic is a charitable foundation that helps families stay together when a child requires long-term hospitalisation or treatment. It provides free accommodation close to hospitals, allowing parents and loved ones to remain near their child and take part in daily life during treatment. The foundation’s first house is located on the grounds of Motol and Homolka University Hospital in Prague. It offers families a safe, calm place to rest, prepare meals, do laundry and take a break from the hospital environment.

The organisation also promotes Family Centered Care, an approach that recognises the family’s role in a child’s care and recovery. In 2026, it began preparations for a second Czech house at Olomouc University Hospital, intended to accommodate up to 20 families at a time. The foundation relies on donations, corporate and community partners, and volunteers to provide stays at no cost and develop its services. People can support its work through financial contributions, volunteering, partnerships, room adoption initiatives and fundraising activities.
