Dhaka University Model United Nations Association (DUMUNA) is the first of its kind in Bangladesh. Our aim is to promote intellectual and creative development among Dhaka University students through the concept of United Nations assemblies. We believe in building up leadership qualities in students for the betterment of the country.

One of our flagship events is the Dhaka University National Model United Nations (DUNMUN), a three to four-day conference held annually on our university campus. DUNMUN brings together more than 500 students from around the world to enhance their leadership and diplomatic skills through debating, discussing, negotiating, and solving global issues. We also organize the DU Diplomatic Conclave, an intra MUN that provides Dhaka University students with an opportunity to understand the procedures and structure of an MUN, develop diplomatic and leadership skills, and gain insights into international politics.

In addition, we send our delegation team to national and international conferences, where they showcase their abilities and gain valuable knowledge and experience. To further support the intellectual growth of our members, we conduct workshops and training sessions on public speaking, negotiations, research, teamwork, and more. We also provide mock MUN sessions to educate our new members about MUN strategies and help them overcome any hesitation or nervousness.

DUMUNA is dedicated to preparing the students of Dhaka University as future diplomats and policymakers by providing them with the skills and knowledge to navigate the operations of the United Nations. We envision DUNMUN becoming one of the most prestigious MUN conferences in the world. Join us in our mission to create a world without poverty, inequality, discrimination, and violence.
