Duna Verde is a botanical garden and community-focused project in Capo Granitola, on the coastal dunes of Pozzitello in southwestern Sicily. Set on land previously used for organic cultivation, it aims to care for the local landscape by encouraging Mediterranean scrub, garrigue and dune-area plant species, supporting biodiversity and resilience to climate change. The garden combines scientific purpose with an appreciation of natural beauty and local traditions, offering opportunities to learn about the territory and the therapeutic value of plants.

Its activities bring together environmental education, responsible rural hospitality and plant-based wellbeing. Visitors can explore an ecomuseum-style experience and an eco-campsite designed for travellers who value nature and wellbeing. Duna Verde also grows Mediterranean aromatic and medicinal plants, with plans to create high-quality herbal and phytocosmetic products. Guided by values of sustainability, shared knowledge and community participation, the project seeks to make the coastal landscape a place for discovery, connection and responsible welcome. Located near Torretta Granitola, it invites visitors to experience the plants, stories and character of the area.
