Dunker-ringen

Dunker-ringen is an independent Norwegian organization dedicated to promoting the Dunker, a Norwegian harehound breed. Founded at Bogstad on April 26, 1986, it has nearly 700 members who support the breed’s continued development. The organization brings together owners, breeders and enthusiasts through information, activities and opportunities to participate in the Dunker community.

Its website provides resources on the breed, including a breed description, health information, breeding guidance and details about the breeding advisory committee. Members and prospective owners can find information about planned litters through the puppy referral service, as well as lists and resources for breeding dogs. Dunker-ringen also shares news, articles, photographs and videos about the breed and its activities.

The organization supports events and competitions, including the Dunker Cup, hunting trials, exhibitions and a championship for debutants. It also promotes youth participation through recruitment initiatives, gatherings and the Youth Prize. Results, statistics, event reports and information about awards help members follow achievements across the Dunker community.
