Dunlop is a global tyre brand founded by pneumatic tyre pioneer John Boyd Dunlop in Belfast, Ireland in 1888 — one of the oldest and most storied names in the automotive industry. The brand encompasses tyres, sports equipment, adhesives, footwear, and hoses, with ownership now consolidated primarily under Sumitomo Rubber Industries of Japan, which holds the consumer tyre trademark and operations worldwide.
