Duo Diesel

Duo Diesel is a physical comedy company formed by Tonny Mulder and Marco Bonisimo, who began their careers as an acrobat and a juggler. The duo creates playful performances that find humor in everyday objects and familiar fears, using items such as balloons, power drills and leaf blowers in unexpected ways. They perform in theaters, on streets and in schools, and can adapt their programs for unconventional settings, including living rooms and sheds.

Their repertoire includes Fijn Stof, a lively mix of different acts that ran from 2012 to 2025, and The Great Disillusion Show, a roughly 50-minute production available as either a school or theater performance. The latter explores disappointment, expectations and fear. Their latest show, ENG, turns frightening subjects—from spiders and monsters under the bed to the tax office—into material for laughter; it was presented at Meters Maken in Nijmegen.

Duo Diesel also develops performances and acts tailored to special occasions, such as Christmas events, openings and symposia, and welcomes inquiries about individual ideas.
