About Durand Heritage Foundation
The Durand Heritage Foundation (DHF) is a public, not-for-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of our family heritage. Established in 1998, DHF operates as an educational and research corporation, chartered in the State of Minnesota and recognized as a §501(c)(3) organization by the Internal Revenue Service. Their mission is to preserve the family and cultural heritage of Jean Durand dit La Fortune (1636-1671).
Through the voluntary efforts of its members, DHF conducts extensive genealogical research and disseminates information about Durand's ancestors and descendants. If you are a Durand, have a Durand ancestor, or have an interest in Durand family history and genealogy, or French Canadian history, you are invited to join the Durand Heritage Foundation. Membership includes access to their Newsletter, usually published four times a year.
