Durg

Durg is a district administration of the Government of Chhattisgarh, serving residents and visitors through its official public information and services portal. Located east of the Shivnath River in the heart of the state, the district is known as a leading centre of industrial development, particularly following the establishment of the Bhilai Steel Plant. Durg also reflects cultural diversity, social harmony, and the shared life of communities from different backgrounds.

The district covers 2,238.36 square kilometres and includes six tehsils, three development blocks, 389 villages, and 11 urban local bodies. Its portal provides information about the district’s history, administration, economy, public representatives, elections, tourism, culture, and heritage. Residents can find links to civic and citizen services, including certificates, social security, voter information, revenue and magistrate services, bill payments, and public grievance channels. The site also offers directories for hospitals, colleges, banks, postal services, electricity, and public service centres, alongside notices, recruitment updates, tenders, schemes, and emergency contacts.
