Durham Art Gallery, founded in 1979, is a regional arts organization located in Durham, West Grey, serving Grey and Bruce Counties in Ontario. Our mission is to inspire, educate, and delight people of all ages by providing access to a wide range of contemporary art. We believe in the power of multidisciplinary cultural practice, bringing together visual and media art, literary events, and performance art.

Over the years, we have undertaken various exciting initiatives, such as off-site exhibitions in unique locations like supermarkets, public parks, and local businesses. We have also organized satellite events in underserved communities, collaborated with art universities and colleges across Ontario, and hosted professional arts festivals like Words Aloud Spoken Word Festival and the Common Pulse Festival in collaboration with OCAD University. We pride ourselves on being accessible and inclusive.

The gallery is wheelchair accessible, and we are committed to providing accessible formats of our communications for persons with disabilities upon request. We welcome visitors to experience our vibrant art community and explore the diverse range of contemporary art on display. To find us, simply head two hours northwest from Toronto or follow the directions provided on our website.

We look forward to welcoming you to Durham Art Gallery and sharing our passion for art with you
