About DURSBD
Dhaka University Research Society (DURS) is a pioneering student-based research organization at the University of Dhaka. As the first of its kind in Bangladesh, DURS aims to foster an environment where students can actively participate in research work. With a membership of around 500 students, DURS is divided into 19 research teams, each led by dedicated coordinators.
This organization offers comprehensive and regular training sessions on research methodology to nurture young researchers. Currently, there are 15 ongoing research projects involving 200 enthusiastic young researchers, who are supervised by esteemed teachers of Dhaka University. DURS also benefits from the expertise of foreign researchers, research scholars from foreign universities, former students of Dhaka University, and research fellows from different research institutes within the university.
With an executive committee, coordinators, and a research development manager, DURS operates smoothly and efficiently. Membership is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as MPhil and PhD researchers from various faculties and institutes of the University of Dhaka
