DustScanAQ is an independent, employee-owned environmental consultancy established in 2004, providing specialist dust and air quality advice across the UK. Its consultants support projects throughout their life cycle, from planning and baseline studies to construction, operation and building occupancy, working with clients across sectors including construction, minerals, waste, industry and residential development.

The company’s services include dust monitoring and assessment, air quality assessments, odour studies, management plans and planning support. Monitoring options include real-time PM10 and PM2.5 equipment, which can send alerts when thresholds are exceeded, and passive sticky-pad monitors. DustScanAQ also undertakes dispersion modelling, climate change and carbon assessments, elemental and chemical dust analysis, and expert witness work.

For workplaces and occupied buildings, the consultancy assesses exposure to airborne substances such as dusts, fumes and gases, as well as occupational noise. It also provides indoor air quality testing and local exhaust ventilation (LEV) testing and assessment. With more than 145,000 samples analysed, DustScanAQ offers tailored technical support and reporting for projects ranging from individual assessments to detailed Environmental Impact Assessments.
