Duuns Horses is an equestrian business focused on enjoyable, natural, horse-centred experiences. Its activities include riding lessons, guided outdoor rides, Camargue horse breeding and the sale of horses. Lessons are led by Idhuna Aukes, a qualified instructor with experience teaching, training and bringing on horses using natural methods. Riders can learn through their seat and body language, while developing an understanding of how horses communicate. Lessons are available at the rider’s home or on Duuns Horses’ highly trained Camargue stallion, with opportunities to try disciplines such as working equitation and western riding.
Outdoor rides take place around Meldert-Lummen, where guests can ride white Camargue horses along historic sunken Roman roads and through the hilly Zelem forests. Sunrise and sunset rides are offered, with routes described as suitable for both young and older participants. Duuns Horses also regularly has Camargue horses for sale and invites prospective owners to explore whether a horse is a suitable match.
