About DUV
FDUV is the advocacy organization for Swedish-speaking individuals with intellectual disabilities in Finland. They stand for freedom, participation, development, and choices for everyone, including those who require support in their daily lives. FDUV and its ten regional DUV associations offer a wide range of recreational activities such as sports, theater, dance, music, and travel for their approximately 2,800 members.
As important influencers at both regional and national levels, FDUV and DUV associations work collaboratively, with local activities supported by national initiatives. Services include family support, counseling, courses, events, and resources like summer camps. FDUV's work focuses on advocacy, education, and support across various areas, including school, housing, work, and health.
