The Deutsche Vereinigung Morbus Bechterew Landesverband Schleswig-Holstein e. V. (DVMB Schleswig-Holstein) is a nonprofit association supporting people affected by Morbus Bechterew, also known as ankylosing spondylitis, and their families.
Its work focuses on informing, accompanying and advising people living with the condition, including those newly diagnosed and seeking guidance on treatment or everyday life. The association provides information about the disease, therapy options and ways to manage daily challenges, and connects members through local groups across Schleswig-Holstein. Many groups offer opportunities to share experiences, take part in qualified movement training and access further guidance.
The regional network also includes a women’s network and activities for younger people with the condition. Members can attend regional and wider events, while the association shares news, educational resources and information about seminars and patient advocacy. It offers free, confidential telephone advice, email contact and free legal advice for members.
