About dwfpa.org
D.W. Field Park is a 650-acre public park spanning Brockton and Avon, Massachusetts, with fields, woodlands, lakes, ponds, and waterfalls. Established in 1925 through the efforts of Brockton businessman Daniel W. Field, the park is recognized on the National Register of Historic Places. A scenic six-mile loop road offers visitors a route to explore on foot, by bicycle, or by car, while the park’s paths and open spaces welcome walking, running, and family outings. Visitors can enjoy fishing, picnic benches, and an eighteen-hole golf course located within the park.
The D.W. Field Park Association works with the Brockton Parks Department to support the park’s preservation and share its history and activities with the community. Its programs include fishing derbies, children’s runs, evening runs, movie nights, nature walks, astronomy events, and gatherings at historic Tower Hill. The association also invites people to volunteer, become members, sponsor events, or donate to support its work. Through these recreational opportunities and community initiatives, D.W.
