About DWIH
DWIH Tokyo is a brand that focuses on promoting innovation and research collaboration between Germany and Japan. As part of the global network of six DWIH centers overseen by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), DWIH Tokyo organizes events and facilitates networking to foster knowledge exchange in areas that will be critical in the future. They showcase the work of German and international scholars, with a specific focus on topics relevant to the Japanese research and innovation landscape.
Each year, they also choose a unifying topic for all six DWIH centers. The brand closely collaborates with a wide network of supporters and partners, including science organizations, universities, economic development agencies, research-based companies, and start-ups. DWIH Tokyo serves as a platform for experts in science and business to connect, and they organize professional events on focal topics such as AI, autonomous driving, and nanotechnology.
With the aim of promoting Germany as an innovation and research hub, DWIH Tokyo also provides information about research funding, career tracks, and opportunities for research collaboration
