Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team (DWMRT) is a volunteer rescue service that operates 24/7, responding to emergencies in the upland areas of Dublin, Wicklow, and Louth. With a mission to provide a professional-standard, voluntary emergency rescue service, DWMRT is comprised of 60 highly-trained and motivated volunteer mountain rescuers from various backgrounds who share a passion for the great outdoors. Since its establishment in 1984, the team has been based in Roundwood, Co Wicklow.

Working in collaboration with An Garda Síochána and other emergency services, DWMRT offers an essential emergency search and rescue response in remote parts of their operational area. Their duties go beyond aiding lost or injured individuals in mountainous terrain. The team actively engages in searching for missing persons, responding to severe weather conditions, and recovering bodies from remote locations.

While partially funded by the Irish government, DWMRT relies heavily on donations, grants, and fundraising events to cover operational costs. They organize three major fundraising events annually, including the Art O'Neill Challenge, Walk the Line, and Run the Line. Every financial contribution supports the team in their vital life-saving endeavors
