Dynamo Camp

Dynamo Camp is an Italian nonprofit organization founded in 2007 by Vincenzo Manes, who serves as its chairman. Its mission is to support the right to happiness for children with serious or chronic illnesses by providing free opportunities for recreation, relaxation and personal growth. Located in Limestre, in the Tuscan countryside near Pistoia, the camp welcomes children aged 6 to 17 who are undergoing treatment or recovering after hospitalization.

Dynamo Camp’s programmes are based on recreational therapy and offer creative, expressive activities designed as constructive personal challenges, without competition. The organization also provides dedicated programmes for families and for children’s healthy brothers and sisters, recognizing that illness affects the whole family. Through its outreach work, it brings recreational therapy to hospitals, family homes and Dynamo City Camps.

Dynamo Camp is part of the international SeriousFun Children’s Network, which supports therapeutic camp experiences for children with serious illnesses. In addition to its programmes, the organization invites individuals and companies to support its work through donations, fundraising, volunteering, events and other initiatives.
