DY Patil Aviation Academy (DYPAA) is a pilot training institution being developed by the DY Patil Group, drawing on its legacy in education and its focus on academic excellence. Based in India, the academy aims to prepare competent, airline-ready pilots through training aligned with Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) requirements and internationally accepted aviation standards. Its launch is planned for the end of 2026, with an air base in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar and a head office in Navi Mumbai.

DYPAA offers training pathways for a Private Pilot License (PPL) and a Commercial Pilot License with Instrument Rating and Multi-Engine qualification (CPL with IR and ME). Its proposed program combines aircraft instruction on models including the Cirrus SR20 and Diamond DA42 with advanced flight simulation, glass-cockpit training, scenario-based exercises, and instruction in crew resource management, standard operating procedures, safety, and decision-making. The Cirrus SR20 platform includes the CAPS whole-aircraft parachute system. The academy describes its approach as student-centered, supported by clear processes and ongoing assistance with program and admissions information.
