About Dyslexia Kenya Official
Dyslexia Organization, Kenya (DOK) is a non-profit NGO established in 2011, dedicated to creating awareness and intervention strategies for dyslexia, a common learning difficulty affecting school-going children in Kenya. Often mislabeled as 'slow learners,' these children possess hidden talents waiting to be uncovered. DOK collaborates with teachers, parents, and the Ministry of Education to shed light on dyslexia and its psychosocial impacts.
By advocating, offering training, screening, and remedial services, DOK aims to support dyslexic children in achieving their full potential. The organization also conducts events, training sessions, and provides resources to raise awareness and build a dyslexia-friendly education system.
