E-Esencja

Fundacja e-esencja is a foundation based in Kobyłka, Poland, connecting applied science, open technology and education to address environmental and social challenges. Its mission is to make reliable knowledge and digital tools serve people and the environment, while helping reduce risks and digital exclusion. The foundation promotes data-based science, open research, reproducible findings and the use of modelling to understand environmental and climate-related issues. It also develops and maintains open-source software, with an emphasis on accessible, transparent and resilient digital solutions and stronger digital security.

Its activities include educational, training and publishing initiatives, as well as workshops, talks and lectures for people of different ages. The foundation also conducts environmental data analysis and forecasting-model work, supports digitalisation and integration of digital services, and organises psychoeducational and personal-development sessions. It collaborates with local governments, universities and nonprofit organisations, and carries out public information and community initiatives. Through projects and events, e-esencja seeks to build digital skills and make knowledge and technology more broadly available.
