About E-mail
E-MAIL.JP is a paid email hosting service offering simple, lasting email addresses on its @e-mail.jp domain. Customers can choose an available address and register online, with annual plans for email forwarding or a full POP account. The forwarding plan costs ¥1,800 per year, while the standard POP account plan costs ¥3,000 per year.
Both services include a mailbox of up to 500 MB, support for attachments up to 100 MB per message, and forwarding to as many as 10 addresses. Features include virus scanning, spam filtering, and webmail; the standard plan also supports POP3, IMAP4, and SMTP access through email clients on computers and mobile devices. Webmail includes tools such as an address book, spell-checking, contact import and export, and folder management. Users can change forwarding settings online, and messages have no stated storage-expiration limit. E-MAIL.JP says its servers are hosted in a data center with backup power and other resilience measures, and connected to KDDI through a dedicated line.
