About EAAACA
The East African Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities (EAAACA) is dedicated to combating corruption in Eastern Africa. Established in 2007, EAAACA fosters regional cooperation, mutual legal and technical assistance, and information sharing among its member states. Headquartered in Kampala, Uganda, the association brings together Anti-Corruption Authorities from East African Community Partner States to jointly tackle corruption and promote integrity.
One of the initiatives supported by EAAACA is the Asset Recovery Inter-Agency Network for Eastern Africa (ARIN-EA). This network facilitates the exchange of information on individuals, assets, and companies, both regionally and internationally, to effectively trace and recover proceeds of crime.
EAAACA offers a range of activities and programs, including training sessions, publications, and annual general meetings to strengthen anti-corruption efforts. Their goal is to deprive criminals of their illicit gains and promote transparency and accountability in the region.
