About EACC
The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) is a pivotal public body in Kenya, established under the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission Act of 2011. With a clear mandate to combat and prevent corruption, economic crime, and unethical conduct, the EACC operates through law enforcement, educational outreach, and the promotion of integrity standards and practices across various sectors. The organization is led by a Chairperson and a team of four commissioners, supported by a dedicated Secretariat headed by the Chief Executive Officer.
EACC’s diverse array of services includes rigorous investigations of corruption allegations, legal support for prosecution, and public education initiatives aimed at raising awareness about the dangers of corruption. They also conduct capacity-building programs tailored to different audiences, including government officials, private sector entities, and educational institutions.
