EAIR Caucus | Kuala Lumpur is a brand that serves as a meeting-of-minds platform for Malaysia-based researchers interested in studying scholarly and policy issues related to contemporary inter-state interactions in Southeast and Northeast Asia. With academics and experts from universities and think-tanks in Malaysia and around the world, the Caucus functions as a hub for connecting researchers and policy practitioners. It also aims to cultivate the next generation of International Relations (IR) and area specialists in Malaysia.

Since its creation in 2014, the Caucus has successfully fostered exchange, engagement, and empowerment through a range of activities. These include hosting forums featuring world-renowned researchers, organizing roundtable series to bridge scholarly and policy perspectives, conducting research projects and policy studies commissioned by government agencies and institutional partners, and collaborating on international workshops and symposiums with prestigious institutes globally.
