About Ear Foundation
Ear Foundation Australia is a community-focused organisation working to improve ear health and access to hearing care, particularly for Aboriginal and at-risk children. Its mission is to reduce chronic middle ear disease by strengthening services, building local capability and making care easier to access. For 13 years, the Foundation has partnered with communities across Western Australia, visiting around 120 locations annually and screening children and babies.
Its programs support children from early detection through treatment and ongoing care. The Earbus Program brings screening and treatment to communities, while Newborn Hearing Screening offers babies an early hearing check. Wrap the Gap provides hearing and therapy support for school readiness, and Ears2Learn delivers ear checks in early learning centres. Hear Today, the Foundation’s West Perth paediatric clinic, provides hearing assessments for children of all ages without a referral, as well as hearing services for adults. Buranymarda Marugundi offers ear, speech and therapy care across the Mid West, and Ear Health Ambassadors trains school communities to champion ear health.
