Early Church Texts is a comprehensive online resource for the study of early Christianity. It offers one of the most extensive collections of Greek and Latin resources, along with English translations, for the exploration of Early Church History. The site functions like an electronic encyclopedia, providing links to information on approximately 800 people and themes related to the first five centuries of Church History.

It also serves as a reader in Early Christian History and Theology, presenting carefully prepared on-site texts (in their original language with English translations) that cover a range of significant themes and represent various authors. Dictionary lookup links are available for all texts. One notable feature of the Early Church Texts website is the easy access it provides to complete Greek and Latin texts from the first five centuries, along with translations.

It covers texts from the Migne Patrologia series as well as other sources. Additionally, the site includes introductions to each on-site text to aid in understanding its context and significance. Background notes linked with the text, printable versions, a site search engine, and other helpful features are also available.

New features and resources are regularly added to the site, making it a valuable tool for scholars, students, and anyone interested in Early Church History
