Early Family Math (EFM) is an organization focused on making early mathematics accessible and enjoyable for every family. Its mission is to help families and educators build strong math foundations for children from birth to age eight through playful, age-appropriate learning. EFM offers free resources that encourage adults and children to read, count, play, and explore mathematical ideas together at home, in classrooms, and in community settings.

For families, resources include sequenced games, puzzles, activities, annotated storybooks, focused-practice games, activity playing cards, and 50 learning steps that progress from early skills to single-digit multiplication. The EFM mobile app brings many of these materials together. The organization also provides playdate plans, family-night kits, and family math festival resources for group events.

Educators can access around 100 classroom math games, approximately 200 K–5 puzzles, puzzle playing cards, and the ESM mobile app, which offers mentoring and resources for early math teachers. Additional offerings include weekly puzzles and games, a monthly newsletter, Math Bingo and placemats, Kitchen Table Math PDFs, videos, and links to external resources. EFM also invites supporters to donate and collaborate.
