Ears Forward

Ears Forward is the western training practice of Katharina Wieferig, built around a thoughtful, partnership-focused approach to working with horses. Its name reflects three guiding principles: keeping horses attentive, looking ahead with a positive mindset, and making steady progress. The practice emphasizes that calm attention, trust, respect, and clear communication create the foundation for effective learning between horse and rider. Its goal is to support sound basic education for both, developing a harmonious partnership and increasingly refined communication.

Ears Forward offers horse training, riding lessons, and support for showing and competition activities. The website also provides information about training courses, events, and related learning resources, including APO courses and recommended literature. Katharina’s work is informed by her experience with a group of western horses featured on the site, including Voodoo Yankee, Miss Olena Peaches, and Katies Blue Gun. News highlights include regional championships, western riding competitions, and examination days. Based in Germany, Ears Forward invites riders seeking structured, positive western training to learn more about its services and approach through its website and social media.
