EarthRef

EarthRef.org is a dedicated platform for Earth Science reference data and models. The site serves various scientific communities, offering resources such as the Geochemical Earth Reference Model (GERM), which characterizes the Earth's major reservoirs and their chemical fluxes. The Magnetics Information Consortium (MagIC) enhances research infrastructure for paleomagnetism, geomagnetism, and rock magnetism, while the Seamount Biogeosciences Network (SBN) connects diverse scientific disciplines to innovate in seamount research and cyberinfrastructure development.

Moreover, EarthRef.org supports education through the Enduring Resources for Earth Science Education (ERESE) initiative, which collaborates with educators to create sustainable Earth science teaching materials. The site also features the Fe-Oxidizing Microbial Observatory (FeMO), focusing on research around hydrothermal environments and iron-oxidizing bacteria on the Loihi Seamount. By providing workshops, seminars, and expeditions, EarthRef.org fosters a rich community engaged in understanding Earth's systems, ultimately promoting stewardship of our planet through education and collaborative research.
