Earthside Doula is the Minneapolis-area practice of Shaniah, a certified birth doula who provides individualized support to pregnant people and families. Her approach centers on trust, safety, clear communication, and respect, with the aim of creating a calm, judgment-free space where clients can explore the birth experience they want. Shaniah draws on evidence-based information and educational resources to help families make informed choices, while meeting each person where they are.

Clients can work with her individually, building a relationship over time and receiving support tailored to their needs. The website offers information about services, scheduling visits, prenatal and postpartum handouts, resources, payments, and testimonials. Shaniah’s background includes work with Everyday Miracles and the HCMC on-call doula program, as well as a bachelor’s degree in sociology and social justice with a concentration in reproductive justice. Her training includes COPE perinatal education and Spinning Babies. She also brings interests in meditation, breathwork, yoga, intentional movement, bodywork, astrology, human design, and energy healing to her continuing learning and practice.
