East Central Energy (ECE) is a member-owned electric cooperative that has been serving the communities of east central Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin since 1936. With a commitment to improving the quality of life, ECE provides reliable energy and related services to nearly 66,000 homes, farms, and businesses in the region. ECE is also a member-owner of Great River Energy (GRE), one of 28 electric distribution cooperatives that generate and transmit electricity for distribution. ECE's dedicated team of 162 employees manages and maintains an extensive network of 8,511 miles of power lines, serving 14 counties. The cooperative operates from its main office in Braham, MN, with additional operations centers in Milaca, Finlayson, Superior, and Wahkon.
