Easter Seals BC & Yukon is a registered charity and service of the BC Lions Society for Children with Disabilities. Founded in 1947 by the East Vancouver Lions Club, the organization has spent more than 75 years creating opportunities for children, youth, and adults with disabilities. Its programs aim to help participants build self-esteem, confidence, and independence while addressing life’s challenges.
The organization offers inclusive camp experiences, including overnight, family, and virtual camps, as well as information for parents and camp staff. Its programs and services include the Compass Program and Compass Continued, along with Easter Seals House, which provides a home-like place to stay for people traveling to Vancouver for medical appointments and treatments. Facilities are also available for rentals.
Easter Seals BC & Yukon connects with its community through fundraising events, volunteer opportunities, partnerships, and ways to give, including monthly donations, legacy gifts, and gifts of stock. Through the support of Lions Clubs, donors, sponsors, partners, and volunteers, it works to improve lives and expand possibilities for people with disabilities.
