East Sussex Early Days CIC

East Sussex Early Days CIC is a community interest company providing infant-feeding support to families in East Sussex. Its directors have been involved in local feeding support for around ten years and are responsible for running the Breast Mates groups in Bexhill and Hastings. The organisation aims to make early support accessible and to complement services provided by NHS partners and other voluntary organisations.

Families within eight miles of Hastings can request a free home visit from an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Visits are available to families with babies under four weeks old who are experiencing feeding difficulties, including severe pain or nipple trauma, low milk supply, weight concerns, or challenges related to premature birth. Support may also be suitable when physical or mental health difficulties make it hard to leave home, or when feeding issues worsen mental health.

East Sussex Early Days also runs free, IBCLC-led Breast Mates support groups in Bexhill and Hastings. These offer expert feeding guidance and a welcoming place for families to connect.
