East Vic Roller Derby is a not-for-profit, grassroots roller derby league based in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs. Built around a skater-led community, the league grew from a private coaching session into a group of passionate people in less than a year. Its welcoming approach invites people to get involved in roller derby in different ways, whether they want to skate, referee or contribute as a non-skating official.
Newcomers can explore the league’s Freshies program and find information to begin their derby journey. For those interested in the sport but not skating, East Vic Roller Derby welcomes officials, whose support helps make games possible. The league also runs a Juniors League for younger participants who want to get on skates. Its website provides information about joining, frequently asked questions, officials, juniors, schedules and the skaters known as the Witches. East Vic Roller Derby shares updates through Instagram and invites interested people to get in touch by email.
