The East Anglian Traditional Art Centre (EATAC) is an independent centre in Wickham Market, Suffolk, founded in 2017 by John Day to promote traditional art from East Anglia. Its focus includes the Norwich School of Painters and Suffolk artists, particularly those who lived or worked in the region between 1750 and 1950. The Centre highlights artists such as Gainsborough, Crome, Cotman, Constable, Arnesby Brown, Munnings and Seago.
EATAC houses an extensive art library, artist archives and the Day Collection of East Anglian art, assembled by the Day family over more than 50 years. It supports research, learning and collecting through exhibitions, projects and information about regional art events. Its services include professional assessment and valuation, research, conservation advice, restoration and framing guidance, and assistance with buying and selling pictures, including auction services. The Centre also offers a sales service, with selected artworks and books available to purchase. Its exhibitions bring together historical and contemporary work, exploring the development and continuing influence of East Anglian art.
