About EATA
The European Association for Transactional Analysis (EATA) is dedicated to promoting knowledge and research on Transactional Analysis, with a particular focus on developing its theory and ensuring agreed standards of practice. EATA is an organization of 44 member associations, totaling over 7,550 members spanning 28 European countries. The association operates independently from the International Transactional Analysis Association (ITAA) but maintains close connections to ensure mutual information, co-operation, and recognition.
EATA's mission involves promoting cooperation in Europe within the field of Transactional Analysis and supporting European TA associations in coordinating their activities, including conferences, training, and certification. Moreover, EATA encourages scientific research into the theory and practice of Transactional Analysis and provides resources for practitioners to advance their professional development. The association upholds ethical standards through its Ethical Code and Guidelines, reinforcing principles of respect, empowerment, protection, responsibility, and commitment in the relationships of its members and practitioners. EATA also aims to facilitate translation of works and documents about Transactional Analysis into European languages to contribute to the diffusion of knowledge.
