Die Eawag ist das Wasserforschungsinstitut des ETH-Bereichs. Die Eawag befasst sich mit Konzepten und Technologien für einen nachhaltigen Umgang mit der Ressource Wasser und den Gewässern. In Zusammenarbeit mit Hochschulen, weiteren Forschungsinstitutionen, öffentlichen Stellen, der Wirtschaft und mit Nichtregierungsorganisationen trägt die Eawag dazu bei, ökologische, wirtschaftliche und soziale Interessen an den Gewässern in Einklang zu bringen. Sie nimmt damit eine Brückenfunktion wahr zwischen Wissenschaft und Praxis. An den Standorten Dübendorf (Zürich) und Kastanienbaum (Luzern) sind rund 500 Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter in Forschung, Lehre und Beratung tätig.

About Eawag
Eawag is the water research institute of the ETH domain. With a focus on sustainable water resource management, Eawag develops concepts and technologies to address the challenges associated with water and aquatic ecosystems. Collaborating with universities, research institutions, public organizations, businesses, and NGOs, Eawag strives to balance ecological, economic, and social interests related to water resources.
Serving as a bridge between science and practice, Eawag employs around 500 researchers, educators, and consultants at its locations in Dübendorf (Zurich) and Kastanienbaum (Lucerne). Their diverse research departments cover topics such as aquatic ecology, water chemistry, environmental toxicology, and water and sanitation for developing countries.
