The Elite Baseball Umpires Association (EBUA) is dedicated to enhancing the quality of umpiring in youth baseball. Founded by experienced umpires Tom Kienzle and Earl Berry, EBUA arose from a shared passion for the game and a commitment to training officials who genuinely care about youth sportsmanship and ethics. With over two decades of umpiring experience, the founders sought to bridge the gap between volunteers and paid officials, ensuring that youth leagues receive well-trained umpires who understand the specific rules of various leagues, including Little League, Cal Ripken, and Federation regulations.

EBUA provides a structured recruitment program, educational resources like the Baseball Rules Academy, and a supportive environment for umpires through annual meetings and virtual classrooms. They are committed to fostering positive relationships between umpires, coaches, and players, emphasizing mentorship and growth on the field. With a growing membership of over 260 umpires, EBUA aims to inspire future generations of baseball players and officials, all while upholding the dignity and respect inherent in the sport.
