ECCOREV is a prominent research federation focused on continental ecosystems and environmental risks. Established to foster scientific exploration, it aims to address various environmental challenges through a comprehensive approach. ECCOREV consists of 33 member units, 18 administrative bodies, and 3 affiliated doctoral schools, collaborating to advance knowledge in critical areas such as morphogenesis, natural hazards, climate variability, and ecotoxicology.

The federation conducts extensive research initiatives, offers training sessions—including statistical training—and organizes scientific events to promote dialogue and collaboration among researchers. It hosts significant projects like the Observatoire du chêne pubescent and maintains over 40 databases and services that support environmental studies.
