Founded to help people pursue aviation under strict standards for quality, safety, and knowledge, the school offers a structured pathway from foundational pilot studies to advanced qualifications and flight instruction.
Its programs include private and commercial pilot theory and practical flight training, instrument flight theory and practice, multimotor training, and fundamentals of flight instruction. Students can also take specialized courses in aircraft systems, radio communications in Spanish or English, Costa Rican air navigation and air traffic control, instructor qualification, and exam preparation. Training combines classroom study with practical experience, including flight hours in the relevant program stages.
ECDEA operates a training fleet that includes Piper, Cessna, and Grumman aircraft. The school states that its aircraft are insured, certified, and maintained for training. It also highlights a pathway for graduates to continue developing as pilots through its associations with Costa Rica Green Airways and CarmonAir Charter.
