About ECGI
ECGI, the European Corporate Governance Institute, is an international scientific non-profit association dedicated to addressing major corporate governance issues. With a focus on fostering debate and dialogue between academics, legislators, and practitioners, ECGI aims to provide knowledge, research, and insights from leading thinkers in the field. Established in 2002, ECGI has garnered a reputation for excellence.
The institute has published over 900 working papers, acquired a global membership of over 660 individuals from 54 countries, hosted international conferences and workshops, provided doctoral training, compiled an extensive directory of international Corporate Governance Codes, and counted three Nobel Laureates among its founding members. The European Corporate Governance Research Foundation, launched in 2016, further supports ECGI's ambitious research program.
