Echocentrum Hoogeveen is a professional ultrasound centre in Hoogeveen, serving expectant parents in the surrounding area. It offers both medical pregnancy scans and elective keepsake scans, using modern Voluson GE equipment and experienced sonographers who explain what can be seen during each appointment.
Medical services include dating scans, the 13-week prenatal screening scan (ETSEO), the 20-week anatomy scan (SEO/TTSEO) and growth scans. The centre also provides elective 2D scans, 2D/3D/4D HDlive scans and early gender determination from 14 weeks. For families seeking highly detailed images, it offers photorealistic 6D or 8K keepsake scans, created by enhancing a 3D image. Echocentrum Hoogeveen describes itself as the first centre in Drenthe to offer this option.
Depending on the scan, clients can receive high-gloss black-and-white prints and digital images or videos via Tricefy, which makes them available on a smartphone; some packages also include a USB stick. The centre provides a welcoming way to see the baby while keeping medical screening distinct from elective keepsake imaging.
