EchoVault

EchoVault is a unique, crowd-sourced index designed specifically for players of Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV). This platform captures player sightings using data gathered from contributors’ game clients, thereby providing a rich tapestry of character identity snapshots — including names, levels, jobs, titles, and free company affiliations. EchoVault allows players to document real-time character activity within various zones, distinguishing it from the official Lodestone, which only reflects a character's current status.

Through the contributions of players, EchoVault can track character visibility over time, capturing changes such as renames and world transfers, as well as offering insights into population demographics across different worlds and data centers. Importantly, EchoVault is dedicated to player privacy and does not record movement paths or chat, maintaining its focus on providing an informative census rather than intrusive surveillance. This platform serves as an invaluable resource for the FFXIV community, fostering collaboration and enhancing the overall gaming experience.
